We first met Lianne and Colin when Lianne contact our sister company Simply Events to organise a surprise 30th Birthday party for Colin. What Lianne wasn’t expecting was that Colin had a plan of his own and surprised her when he got down on one knee and proposed in front of all of their family and friends. The party was held at Branksome Dene Community Rooms so when they started planning their wedding, there was no question about where they wanted the wedding to take place. Having experienced the support of Simply Events for the party, Lianne couldn’t imagine planning her wedding without the same support so got back in touch in early 2015. From then until the wedding in April 2016, we guided Lianne and Colin through the planning process, dipping in and out over the months to assist them with sourcing suppliers and styling ideas to add a special ‘wedding’ touch to the sweet but simple charm of Branksome Dene.

In true April Showers style, on the day we had a mixture of sunshine and rain but nothing could dampen Lianne and Colin’s spirits or those of their fantastic family and friends who created a fabulous atmosphere, even stealing the microphone for speeches and bursting into spontaneous bouts of Karaoke during the wedding breakfast. Lianne and Colin included all their family in their beautifully personal ceremony, which they created with the assistance of the lovely, Julie Leonard, even including their adorable son, Jackson.

Adding to the close atmosphere between the guests, it was a real family affair with the suppliers, working with some of our favourite local suppliers Southern Mobile Bars, Butterfly Days Ceremonies, Marquee Elegance, Dorset Dubhire and Signature Catering. Thank you to everyone who helped to bring together this intimate, special and very personal wedding, which was beautifully captured by the very talented Tim Churchill. We really enjoyed helping Lianne and Colin plan their wedding and we’re hope to help them again with planning any future celebrations.
