Marquee weddings are a very popular avenue that couples explore, either because the venue type dictates the reception needs to be held in a marquee, or couples chose that route as its ideal for couples with their own vision and offers a fantastic blank canvas for you to really make your own.
With over 10 years’ experience, we find that marquee weddings can be the most complex in terms of planning. A lot of the planning for a marquee wedding happens in the early stages so it is essential that you have a strong team involved with your planning early on in the process and you select good, experienced suppliers which fit both your brief and your budget.
We appreciate that the option to have a marquee wedding may have been chosen as an easy alternative to a permanent building (in the sense of freedom it certainly is!) However, in terms of planning, there are a lot of ‘non-glamourous’ aspects that need careful consideration.
We would always carry out a site visit at your chosen location early on to ensure that the access is appropriate for a marquee build and check the for things such as land level, parking, water supply etc. We can advise on all the back ground essentials of power / generators / toilets / lighting / heating. We would be able to offer you advice on marquee companies and suppliers that are experienced in working with marquee weddings. These are also things that are not easily changed close to the wedding date and require early involvement. We therefore do not offer solely Wedding Day Management for this type of wedding.
