Rod and Gilly contacted us to ask for some help planning the last few months of their wedding.  We were delighted to work again over at Studland – certainly one of our favourite locations in Dorset to work.  Rod and Gilly had chosen the beautiful St Nicholas’ Church at Studland and Harry Warren House where we are a recommended independent planner and it was great to work at this location again.  As part of our service we worked closely with the couple to bring together some plans they had already put in place and then add to that with finding them some suppliers they were yet to find.  They had a good idea of the style and feel of day they wanted and it was our job to help to bring that to life.  The guests were being treated to two meals – the first was planned with a touch of Alice In Wonderful style to it with an outdoor champagne afternoon tea on long wooden tables out on the lawns overlooking the water with colourful additions to the table and bespoke stationery to complement the design.  We were thrilled to bring on board IanH Photography to work with the couple together with Emma Farwell Designs for the table stationery and tags to hang keys from a tree in the beautiful grounds to act as an escort card tree.  The glassware and coloured linen on the afternoon tea table set everything off beautifully.  We also commissioned the services of Jessie and her team from West Dorset Wedding Flowers who worked so well with our Bride and created the most stunning flowers for this wedding for us.

For a really special and unique element to this day we recommended Silk Street Jazz who we had worked with before. This was a surprise for the guests as we had the band waiting in a little wooden structure on the walk from the Church to Harry Warren House and the guests were led to the reception by the band playing live jazz walking through the streets of Studland – amazing touch!  Then we added in some musical elements to the day and outdoor speeches in the grounds and an incredible cake commissioned from Lisa Notley

who its always a pleasure to work with and Lisa designed and created the perfect cake for our couple.  The second meal was a relaxed buffet seated inside the marquee.  We worked on the styling of the marquee and Nicolle and Celeste managed and ran the day for Gilly and Rod.  Dramatic scenery, a relaxed and fun day and a beautifully executed wedding.  Thanks to Gilly and Rod for asking us to help plan their special day
