Gina and Andrew had already found their venue when they got in touch about their wedding and we were delighted to find out they were planning to get married at one of our favourite venues in the area – Sopley Mill. They had been trying to plan their wedding for quite a long time but being extremely busy people – they run a working farm, the biggest car boot sale in the area and own a number of horses, all of which takes up a lot of their time – and after pushing back the date for the second time, they decided they needed some help. We worked with them on full-plan basis, helping to source all their key suppliers and bring to life their vision for an elegant, country wedding.

Gina was keen on creating a look that was in keeping with her stunning, Augusta Jones, couture wedding gown which Anna from Anna’s Bridal Couture helped her to find and she wanted to include touches of lace to complement the gorgeous lace of her dress. She also wanted a pink colour scheme that was striking but not but not too bold, which Emma from Arcade Flowers achieved beautifully with a combination of strong, bright tones with more soft, subtle shades and lots of delicate flowers and foliage.

Gina and Andrew were also determined that their beautiful Doberman, Higgins, should play a part in their special day and despite the old saying that you should never work with animals or children, on the day he trotted beautifully down the aisle in his collar and bow tie and calmly sat at the front for the duration of the ceremony. The day of the wedding was a gloriously sunny, July day and the guests were treated to lashings of Pimm’s followed by a sumptuous Champagne afternoon tea. After the wedding breakfast their guests played lawn games by the river and posed for pictures under their floral arch and after the sun went down, they went inside and enjoyed a good, old fashioned boogie. As a former dancer, Gina was keen to do something special for their first dance and they wowed their guests with a perfectly choreographed routine to one of their favourite pieces of music.

We really enjoyed helping Gina and Andrew plan their special day and getting to know their lovely family and friends. Thank you to all the suppliers that helped bring together this lovely wedding – Beautiful Brides, Arcade Flowers, Red Cherry Catering, We Perform DJ and Barouche Bars – thank you to IanH Photography and Wedding Memories for being there to capture all the special moments.
